Common questions.

Is El Nido town noisy?

Which area of El Nido is best for first-time visitors?

For first-time visitors, El Nido town is usually easier. From Amari by Vivere, you can walk to the tour-boat pier, the restaurants, the market, and the supermarket. Corong-Corong is quieter and more beach-focused — better for a second trip or a longer, slower stay.

What’s the difference between staying in El Nido town and Corong-Corong?

El Nido town (where Amari is) is the walkable, tour-boat hub — 5 minutes on foot to the pier and restaurants. Corong-Corong is a 3-minute motorbike ride south: quieter, beach-focused, but limited walking range. Town suits guests who want to explore independently; Corong-Corong suits beach-only stays.

Is Amari near the bus terminal?

Yes. The Cherry Bus Terminal is a 10-minute walk from Amari by Vivere. Buses and vans to Puerto Princesa depart from here. For island-hopping tours, the tour-boat pier is closer — just 5 minutes on foot.

What’s the El Nido environmental fee?

The Eco-Tourism Development Fee (ETDF) is PHP 400 per person (foreign nationals), valid for 10 days. All visitors to El Nido pay this fee on arrival — it funds conservation of El Nido island-hopping waters. Amari by Vivere can help you sort this out during check-in. Rate is subject to change without prior notice.

El Nido town centre. It puts you within walking distance of restaurants, the tour pier, the beach, and nightlife. You don't need a tricycle or scooter to get around.

Is Lio Beach better than El Nido town?

Different, not better. Lio is a planned estate about 15 minutes north. It has a long beach and upscale hotels but fewer dining and nightlife options. Best for families wanting a managed, all-in-one stay.

Is Corong-Corong a good base?

Yes, if you want a quieter, cheaper alternative to town. It's a 10–15 minute tricycle ride from the centre. The beach is calmer and the sunsets are beautiful, but you'll need transport for tours and restaurants.

Where should couples stay in El Nido?

Town centre is best for couples who want walkability and nightlife. A rooftop property like Amari puts you above the bustle with a pool and sunset views without losing access to town.
